development websites for US states, counties and cities or Canadian

project plans in new business locations, including referrals to professional
service providers specialized in project planning.. |

tools enable executives and professional advisors to do business location
research across multiple regions of interest, such as for capital investment
project planning, including site selection for new business facilities such
as offices, factories, warehouses, etc. The search results also
include relevant content from our websites and fDi magazine. |
| We also
welcome
reciprocal links from relevant organizations, as well as

Explanation of these custom search
tools These tools make it
easy to search across a specific community of related websites, such as
economic development agencies for a particular state or region, or
similar types of professional services.
This eliminates myriad WWW search results unrelated to
this niche, or the need for duplicate searches across such sites
separately.
This makes it easy to search press releases across
many related organizations at the same time as other related content,
such as later references to an investment project after it is announced.
For example, this page serves the community of
executives and business advisors who may be seeking information about
specific aspects of doing business in a particular region, but who need
to find and compare information from multiple locations or service
providers. |
Search Tips Since this
search tool covers multiple websites, as listed below, it may be helpful
to narrow a search with an exact phrase by including these keywords in
quotes as shown:
 | "press release" or "new jobs" may help to find
recent project announcements across multiple websites. |
 | "workforce development", "labor market", "human
resources" or "training program" may help to find such HR topics. |
 | "available sites" or "site selection" may easily
find property listing tools or other content intended to be helpful to
business location consultants or corporate real estate brokers. |
It is also possible to refine a search within the list
of initial results.

Scope of this custom search tool
At this time, these custom searches selectively find
results from the content of the selective group of websites listed for
each such tool.
Typically, there are 10 - 15 websites in the scope of a
regional US search, as shown at the bottom of each search page.
State search tools vary, but typically involve 30 - 50 websites.
Very large states sometimes involve searches across 80 - 100 or more
websites.
In total, these tools make it intuitively easy to
research any region of North America as a place to do business by making
it easy to selectively search over 2000 economic development agency and
Chamber of Commerce websites.
Other relevant websites may be added to this initial
scope, and new tools of this nature are planned for other purposes in
this niche market.
Contact us with suggestions for
additional sites to search, or to
advertise through this unique service.
We also perform custom research and referral work -
like a "concierge" service, to help executives
find what they are
seeking for project plans.
The search results are
also designed to include relevant ads as suggested by Google, in
addition to those which we highlight above because of their known
relevance to the topic of this search page. |
Other resources which may be helpful:
www.OnTheShortList.com -
USA Search,
Area Search, etc. provide
the capability to easily search related websites individually.
Directories at
www.gdi-solutions.com may also be helpful as a very
comprehensive global reference guide for this niche market.
For economic developers:
background about the launch of these new tools in fall 2007, and how
they can support the marketing of an area.
The cost to advertise through these tools is
deliberately low, but helps to support the work we do to create such
innovative tools for research by executives and their advisors about
places to do business and the services which can help them to set up
operations in new locations.
This is a business - not a non-profit organization -
but with the social purpose of creating a more open and efficient
marketplace to grow the economic impact of capital investment projects
faster and better. |
